Launchframe collects as little as it can and keeps it only as long as it needs to. This page says exactly what is stored, who else touches it, and how to get it deleted.
What Launchframe stores
| Data | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Email address and a hashed password | To sign you in and send verification and password-reset emails | Until you delete your account |
| Projects, brand defaults, and uploaded icons | To save your work and render your videos. Icons are re-encoded as PNG, which strips any metadata they carried | Until you delete them or your account |
| Full-quality cloud renders | So you can download them | 24 hours, then deleted automatically |
| Share-link previews | To show the preview image when a link is unfurled | Until you turn the link off |
| Purchase record from Stripe: session id, amount, and currency | To unlock your account and handle refunds | For as long as the account exists |
| Product usage events, such as "link imported" or "draft exported" | To understand which parts of Launchframe get used | Kept in aggregate; tied to an account only while it exists |
| IP address and browser user agent | Rate limiting, and recorded against each sign-in session so you can recognise and revoke it | Until that session expires or you sign out |
Browser drafts are rendered on your own device. Making one never uploads your icon unless you separately save the project.
Cookies
Launchframe sets one session cookie so you stay signed in. There are no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking. The analytics tool described below keeps its identifier in your browser's session storage, which clears when the tab closes.
Who else sees your data
A few services are needed to run Launchframe. Each receives only what its job requires.
- Stripe processes payments. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach Launchframe's servers. Stripe receives your email address so it can send receipts.
- Resend delivers verification and password-reset emails, and receives your email address to do so.
- Vemetric provides page-view and usage analytics. When you are signed in it receives your account id and whether the account is unlocked. It never receives your email, your projects, or your icons.
- Fly.io hosts the servers and database, in the United States.
When you paste an App Store, Google Play, or website link, Launchframe's server fetches that public page to read the app name, icon, and colors. Nothing about you is sent to those sites beyond an ordinary web request.
Launchframe does not sell your data and does not share it with anyone else, except if required by law.
Where it lives
Everything is stored on servers in the United States. If you use Launchframe from elsewhere, your data is transferred there.
Your choices
- Delete any project or brand default from inside the app at any time.
- Turn off a share link from the export dialog; its preview image is deleted with it.
- Request a copy of your data, or deletion of your whole account, by emailing hello@launchframe.video from the address on the account. Deletion is completed within 7 days and removes your projects, icons, renders, and purchase record. Stripe keeps its own transaction records as required by financial regulations.
Children
Launchframe is not directed at children under 16 and does not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, email the address below and it will be removed.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top will change and account holders will be told by email.
